Funeral service for Mr. Benly Lucios, 63 of Killeen, TX will be held Thursday, August 25, 2022, 12:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
Mr. Lucios passed away August 19, 2022, in Killeen, TX.
Benly Lucios was born May 15, 1959, in Pohnpei, Micronesia. He was born to the union of late Jose Lucios and Jusy Sepety. Benly accepted Christ as his Savior and during his journey with Christ he became a Lay Minister through UCCP in Pohnpei, Micronesia. He graduated from Xavior High School in Chuuk, Micronesia. After high school, he furthered his education in Kansas and received an associate degree in land surveying. Following his education, he went back home to Pohnpei to serve his people and community. He served as a dutiful minister and acting director of land surveying.
He took pleasure in traveling all over the world to gain more knowledge and experience to help enhance his community in Pohnpei. Aside from traveling he also loved his music, especially rock, food, a.k.a. chic-o-stick grandpa, cleaning/organizing, and being with family and friends.
As the weeks and months of his illness severed, Benly remained peaceful and calm, trusting in God's will. He fought a long and tough road; however, through his persistence all of his children were able to be together again by his side.
Preceding Benly in death were his father, Jose Lucios, and granddaughter, Merina Betty Cabell.
Benly is survived by his wife of 33 years, Merihna; five children, Joyce, Cynthia (Taki), Burt, Darianina, and Benly Jr.; three sons-in-law, Macmillan, Dundee, and Gino; one daughter-in-law, Deethreen; ten grandchildren, Burtlan, Geneva, Ashley, Jojo, Macmillan Jr., Jimena, Meriana, Royce, and Laila; he is also survived by his mother, Jusy Sepety; three brothers, Iliasa, Chester, and Ronnie; three sisters, Sincer, Cicilia, and Seanes; and many other relatives and friends.
