Funeral service for Ms. Benita Beatrice McCoy, 62 of Killeen, TX will be held Wednesday, September 15, 2021, 1:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial with military honors will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service (12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.) at the funeral home.

Ms. Benita Beatrice McCoy, also known as "BB" was born November 7, 1958, in Baltimore, Maryland to Mr. George Raymond and Mildred Beatrice Jackson. She departed this life into the arms of Jesus on August 28, 2021.

After graduating from High School Benita worked for a few years before enlisting in the United States Army in 1981. Benita was a Desert Shield/Desert Storm Veteran. She served her country proudly and received an honorable discharge in 1992.

After her military career Benita worked as a home health aide at Bell Haven Nursing Home in Killeen, TX. She moved back to Baltimore, MD and worked for the Social Security Administration until she retired and came back to Texas. She moved back to Texas to get away from the cold weather.

Benita was a social butterfly with an infectious personality and a laugh to match. She loved to cook big meals during the holidays and cheered for her Baltimore Ravens. BB is gone but not forgotten.

She is survived by brothers, Anthony Jackson, Harold E. Jackson both of Baltimore, MD, and Raymond Jackson of Aurora, CO; special friends, Edward Purnell, and Sheila Galloway; and a host of other friends in Baltimore, MD and Killeen, TX.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents, a brother William B. Jackson, and sister Ramona L. Williams.
