Avery T. McCoy was called home the evening of Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Baylor Scott and White Hospital, Ft. Worth, Tx. Avery is the second daughter of Carolyn and Kenneth Blade. She was born January 22, 1983, in Monroe, Louisiana. Avery accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Rev. Joseph Knight, Jr. She joined China Grove Baptist Church and was a member of the junior choir. Avery later relocated to Killeen, Texas; where she met the love of her life, LaRon McCoy, Jr. They were united in Holy Matrimony on March 22, 2008. To this union, one son was born. Avery is truly one of God's Angels. She was quiet, soft spoken, and slow to anger. She was always striving to be creative. Even while battling sickle cell, she was always a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Avery developed her own bath, hair, and skin care line, Bath Happy Creations. She also loved baking and writing poetry. Avery loved family and shared a very special love with her mother. On March 22, 2023, she celebrated 15 years of marriage with her husband, LaRon McCoy, Jr. Avery loved being a wife and mother. She would always say that being a mother was one of her greatest accomplishments.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving and devoted husband, LaRon McCoy Jr. (Killeen, Texas); her son, Jordan McCoy and two bonus children, Inez McCoy and Kahlil McCoy, all of Killeen, Texas; her loving mother, Carolyn Blade (Monroe, Louisiana); her father, Kenneth Blade (Monroe, Louisiana); three sisters, Kenderly Wilson, Courtney Blade, and Kenyatta Blade, all of Monroe, Louisiana; 1 brother, Kenneth Blade, Jr (Dee Dee) Monroe, Louisiana; 2 very special nephews, Kelsie Wilson (Zia) and Keldrick Wilson (Monroe, Louisiana); one God-sister Shannon Brown (Arlington, Texas); one God[1]daughter, McKenzy Zinnerman (Monroe, Louisiana); her mother-in-law, Cynthia McCoy and father-in-law, LaRon McCoy Sr. (Killeen, Texas); one sister-in-law Andrea McCoy; two very special aunts, Carolyn B Wilson (Jessie) and Martha Kenabrew, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and friends.
