Funeral service for Mrs. Archie Mae Minor, 89 of Copperas Cove, TX will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Viewing will be held two hours prior to the service (9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.) at the funeral home.

Mrs. Minor passed away October 31, 2023, in Temple, TX. She was born January 3, 1934, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Minnie Lee Blakely and Archie McClendon. Archie was educated through the Missouri School District where she graduated from Summer High School in St. Louis.

She started her nursing career at Koch Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, where she worked her way up to becoming a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She relocated to Houston, Texas, where she married her beloved husband Isaac Minor, Jr., in 1976. They were married for 55 loving years. They both received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior in 1995.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her beloved husband, Isaac Minor, Jr.; son, Herbert Duncan; daughter, Mary Hodge; grandchildren, Wenona Duncan, Myneshia Johnson (Antonio), Leon Cross, Tanya Hodge, Tashia Requena (Pedro), Shareena Pangelian (John), Monica Hodge; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Leon Cross, and Pastor Winston Duncan.
