Funeral service for Mr. Anthonye Darryke Royster, 36 of Fayetteville, NC will be held Monday, March 9, 2026, 9:00 a.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial with military honors will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service (8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.) at the funeral home.

ANTHONYE DARRYKE ROYSTER, SR., lovingly known as "Ant," passed away on February 16, 2026, at the age of 36. Born on August 11, 1989, in Durham, North Carolina, Ant later made his home in Fayetteville, North Carolina, where he built his life around family, service, and community.

Anthonye was the second youngest of his siblings, and the prankster of the family. He was always joking but was strong-willed and determined at such a young age.  Anthonye was a proud United States Army Veteran who honorably served his country for seven years. During his military career, he deployed to Iraq, demonstrating courage, resilience, and unwavering dedication. His service was not just a chapter in his life; it reflected his character: selfless, disciplined, and deeply committed to protecting others.

Above all, Anthonye was a devoted husband and father. He leaves to honor his memory: his wife, Kenteria Royster, and his children, whom he was a proud father to, Asaunte Royster (17), Anthonye Royster, Jr. (13), Alanah Royster (12), Alijah Royster (5), and A'Riyah Royster (4). His children were his life. He loved them fiercely and led his family with strength, guidance, and protection. He was loving yet stern, wise yet playful, firm in his expectations but overflowing with affection. He believed in building strong characters, teaching life lessons, and making sure his children always knew they were deeply loved.

Ant was the cherished son of Karen Jones and William Royster, and a beloved brother to Tieshia Anderson, Terrell Terry, William Jones, William Royster, Jr., and Travis Royster. His family also included his grandparents, Early and Carolyn Terry; uncles, Earl Terry III and Michael Terry; nephews, Alvin Jones and Tyler Casey; and niece, Ryah Jones. He also shared an unbreakable bond with his best friend, Andre Sutherland, and cousin, Adrian Johns. His presence brought strength, laughter, a little bit of chaos, but much wisdom to those closest to him.

Outside of his service and family life, Anthonye had a deep love for music. Writing and freestyling were more than hobbies; they were outlets for his creativity and emotion. He enjoyed traveling and embracing new experiences and cultures. A loyal sports fan, he proudly represented North Carolina and Texas, but through family influence, he also embraced being a Georgia Bulldogs fan.

Ant will be remembered as strong, protective, intelligent, charismatic, and deeply compassionate. He carried himself with loud confidence. He was dependable, loyal, and the kind of man who showed up when it mattered most. His legacy lives on through the values he instilled, the love he gave, and the countless lives he impacted.

Though his time here was far too short, his impact will last for generations.
