Family visitation for Mr. Anthony Cortez Butler, Jr., 41 of Killeen, TX will be held Friday, January 29, 2021, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

On April 24, 1979, Anthony Corte Butler, Jr. was born in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the oldest son to Anthony Butler, Sr., and Gail Butler.

At a young age Anthony moved to Germany where he learned to speak German fluently. He was extremely athletic and participated in various sports. Anthony came to Killeen, Texas and later attended Ellison High School. After high school, he attended college in Galveston, Texas. While attending college, he maintained employment.

Anthony, to many known as "Jigg", enjoyed traveling, especially to places with beaches; being near the water gave him a sense of peacefulness and calmness, a place where he would frequently meditate. Whether it was feeding the seagulls, walking the beach, or just listening to the waves and light winds, it would give him peace of mind.

He took pride in prepping and cooking soul food dishes. Steak, greens, macaroni and cheese, and fried chicken were a few of his favorites to prepare. He also had a genuine love for music. He would write lyrics for his music and was always on the mic rapping trying to take it to the next level.

Family was everything to Anthony. Amare' and Imari (Re-Re) meant the world to him. He loved them very much and unconditionally, they were his world. He enjoyed going to family gatherings and spending time with his family.

In Anthony's journey of life, throughout his trials and tribulations, he continuously pushed forward.

On January 11, 2021, Anthony received his wings, transitioning from his home here on earth to a new home in Heaven.

Anthony leaves to cherish his memory: Mr. Anthony Butler, Sr. of Pflugerville, TX; Mrs. Gail Butler of Killeen, TX; Amare' Harris, Imari Harris, Tiarra Butler, Tiyanna Jones all of Killeen, TX; Linda Scott of Oklahoma City, OK; Terry Williams, Lenard Williams, Jr., Asante Butler, Eunice Butler, Shannon Butler, London Lampkins and Shanblissa Carter all of Kansas City, MO; the Harris and White families; and a host of cousins, family, friends, relatives and loved ones.

"Jigg" Gone too soon, but never to be forgotten. ~Rest in Heaven.
