Funeral services for Ms. Aneshia LaCara Etheridge 36, of Killeen, Texas will be held Friday, January 7, 2022, at Bibleway COGIC Church in Killeen, Texas. Burial will follow the service at the Killeen City Cemetery in Killeen, TX.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service (10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) at the church.
Aneshia LaCara Etheridge was born on December 25, 1984 in Ft. Hood, Texas to Percy Etheridge, Jr. and Carrie Lee Etheridge.
Raised in a God-fearing home, Aneshia accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and kept Him near to her heart throughout her life.
She graduated from C.E. Ellison High School in 2004 and was a member of the school's U.S. Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC). As a very young child, Aneshia expressed her desire to become a chef and she began pursuing her life-long dream at Central Texas College in Killeen, Texas. Unfortunately, shortly thereafter, Aneshia began suffering several medical complications- thus unable to continue her studies. But never one to give up easily and always a fighter, she persevered through the recovery process up until her last days.
Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting Aneshia would always be greeted with generous salutations and a warm, friendly smile. She always had a witty joke or comment to share and her trademark kind spirit quickly left a lasting impression on everyone who knew and loved her.
Aneshia loved to spend time with her family and her favorite activities were playing bingo, doing arts and crafts, and all kinds of puzzles. Always willing to lend a helping hand, Aneshia also briefly attended and volunteered in the Youth Department at First United Methodist Church in Lampasas, TX.
Aneshia was called home to be with The Lord on December 23, 2021. Left behind to cherish her fond memories are: her beloved daughter, Amya Etheridge; her parents, Percy Etheridge, Jr. and Carrie Etheridge; two sisters, Perceda Etheridge & Shantice Etheridge; a brother, Shawnell Fluellen and other half brothers and sisters; two nephews KeiShawn and Shawnell Jr.; three nieces Kimora, Kierra and Kalani Rose; her Uncles Henry Spires, Jr. and Melvin Etheridge; her Aunt Dorothy Dancy; and a host of cousins and extended family.
